Statement
Growing up in the five borough cauldron of New York City has shaped my ideas about architecture, community, equality and violence. As a citizen and an artist it is very important for me to keep these issues in balance; yet due to the nature of a big city these issues are in perpetual motion — shuffling, sorting, revealing, and sometimes disappearing. From researching archival footage and contemporary news accounts of local mythologies, I investigate cultural similarities, patterns, and audio within the worlds undocumented urban community structures.
